As you already know, Microsoft have very strict rules for what goes and what doesn’t on their new Windows Phone 7 OS and for one, home-brewed user interfaces are forbidden. No manufacturer will have the right to customize the Windows Phone 7 in any way so Microsoft can deliver uniform user experience throughout various devices.

There is no need to worry though, since the HTC CEO Peter Chou confirmed during the CTIA conference that they are excited about making a Windows Phone 7 device and can see it hitting the shelves before the end of the year.

The device, which Mr. Chou is talking about, might turn to be HTC Obsession, which leaked two months ago.

Peter Chou also commented on the company’s position about the Google Nexus One. Despite the modest sales figures (only 135 000 Google devices were sold in the first 74 days after its release), they consider the phone to be a success given the lack of appropriate marketing and retail network. Even more, the Google Nexus One “showed the world that HTC is the top Android brand”.

Granted, it was only two drones (Boeing ScanEagles), but the company received their fly together. These vehicles searched a test area by means of “self-generating waypoints and mapping and sent the information to the teams on the ground.”

This means that the plane without a pilot may collect and use data while contacting them for their mission. I am sure that you can easily imagine more than two aircraft went to a search and rescue mission or perhaps a military invasion.

We are looking to a future where swarms of aircraft automated will be our Advanced Air Force? Think of the scene on the day independence where all these tiny fighters invaded this base. We could be these foreigners!

Of course, I wonder how we can get all these aircraft to work together so that they kill the evil targets in the world. Something tells me that this will be a whole new type of interface.

Then there is this frightening situation where the army of robot aircraft turn on us. Think stealth film, but with numerous aircraft instead of one. I hope that someone is not supported this idea and make a sequel to this film, because it was horrible.

In any event, we will see what Boeing provides for this new technology is concerned.

The I7500 Galaxy is the first Android-based device announced by Samsung. It hit the stores last month, but the only official color known until now was the black one. Samsung has a whole lineup of similarly looking phones such as S8000 Jet, I8000 Omnia 2, B7610 OmniaPRO and S5600 so we find the change quite fresh.

The I7500 Galaxy runs on Android 1.5 and sports a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 8GB internal storage and microSD slot. All possible connectivity is onboard – quad-band GMS, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 is the first RIM device that will be able to sync iTunes playlists, personal info, organizer memos etc. with Mac-running computers. The release of the new version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager in September will enable that kind of functionality for the rest of the company’s product line.

Specswise the BlackBerry Curve 8520 fares decently with the missing 3G connectivity being the only major letdown.

The QWERTY-enabled 8520 packs a 65K-color landscape QVGA TFT display. It has quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support as well as Wi-Fi connectivity and a built-in GPS receiver. A 2 megapixel snapper, Bluetooth and USB complete the list of noteworthy features.

As we already wrote the handset will be available through T-Mobile, starting from August 5. Vodafone UK should also be getting it soon. Unfortunately there is still no information regarding its pricing or its eventual availability with other carriers.

It is the hybrid creation Zappar and clothing, and there is a video after the jump to see how it works. I highly recommend watching because it seems to be very careful.

So, HTC have confirmed that there is a v2.1 update coming to the HTC Tattoo, though they didn’t say when. “Just a little bit longer” is as specific as they got.

Now they have the Wireless Boombox, which I also got a chance to try out. There are some portable speakers that produce some real kickin’ sound that can really rock a room. The actual specs are two 3 inch laser-tuned neodymium drivers for a rich mid range, two half-inch neodymium tweeters, and four two-inch passive radiators for some serious deep bass.

Even though this product has “for the iPad” in its name, this is really false advertising. In reality, this product will pair and connect with any product that is Bluetooth compatible. If it doesn’t connect wirelessly, then you can use the included audio cable and connect it via 3.5 mm aux jack.

These speakers have a rechargeable battery that is rechargeable, a NiMH battery that is good for six hours on a full charge. Assuming that you are carrying your Bluetooth compatible device with you, you can carry the Wireless Boombox on your shoulder like a ghetto blaster from the eighties. It also has a pop-out stand in the back so you can stand it up on a table or other flat surface.
